Three friends, on the brink of University, celebrate  New Year’s Eve on top of the Malvern Hills whilst the world prays for a vaccine for Covid-19.  Ten years later, in Cheltenham, one of them is striving to develop a  technology which can accurately detect lies and potentially solve the complexity of human interaction.  

As the friends reconvene for another New Year and debate the implications of a “truth machine”  events unfold which have graver consequences than who is lying, who really loves who, who is on the edge of insanity  and ultimately what happened that night on The Malverns as teenagers.
