Angry Birds
Following the success of The Other School (2024), Legend Trippers (2023), The Dreaming (2022) and Brass (2021), Stagedoor Learning is delighted to return to the Everyman's main stage with another new musical.
A failing school in rural England. A group of disaffected young people who have to learn a new song to be performed for the Prime Minster - someone who, they think, has no idea about their lives, and no interest in their futures. Desperate for inspiration, their teacher shares with them the story of Emmeline, Christabel, Sylvia and Adela Pankhurst.
As the class is transported to the world of the Suffragettes, they learn to find their own voices and their place in the world, following the example of the original Angry Birds.
With a rock score, an inspirational and uplifting story about unity and the power of collective action, Angry Birds is another fantastic show from writer Dougal Irvine (The Other School)
