Wise Children Teacher & Educator CPD
What’s it about?
Put into practice the Wise Children method and learn unique multi-disciplinary techniques to encourage creativity, joy and ensemble storytelling in this workshop for teachers, educators, lecturers, facilitators and youth theatre leaders.
Members of the North by Northwest show team will guide participants through the Wise Children method. From games to devising, you will experience first-hand how Wise Children builds an ensemble and creates their critically acclaimed shows. As part of taking part in this workshop, participants will also receive access to our video resources, designed to help drama teachers and students understand Wise Children’s work, and create their own theatre through using some of our approaches.
We encourage all participants to attend North by Northwest, either before or after the theatre maker taster, to get the most out of the day.
What You’ll Gain:
· Practical techniques to enhance your student’s creativity and collaboration skills
· Tools for building and working with ensembles
· Access to Wise Children’s online educational resource videos
· Insights into the creative processes of Wise Children
· An opportunity to connect with fellow theatre practitioners and educators
· A small, focused group setting for a more personalised experience
The workshop:
Wednesday 4th June 6-9pm
@Everyman Theatre
6-7pm: Welcome and food/refreshments
7-9pm: Wise Children led workshop
